Chelsfield Wills - Part 1  Abstracts of will from Chelsfield proved in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
John Dirling of Chelsfield dated 6 November 1725

Abstract of the will of John Dirling of Chelsfield, being aged, dated 6 November 1725.
   I give to my nephew Robert Dirling £22, to my nephew Thomas Dirling £5, to my nieces Elizabeth Everest, Mary Dirling, Susan Dirling and Anne Dirling fifty shillings apiece.
   I give to my cousin George Walklin his Note under his hand to me for £20 on condition he pay to his wife £5, to his son John £5, to his wife's mother £5 and to his brothers in law Peter Everest and Thomas Mace fifty shillings each, these legacies to be paid before the Note is delivered up to the said George Walklin.
   I give to my brother in law Robert White his Note of £20 provided he pay to his wife my sister £15 and to his daughter Susan £5, as my gift.
   I give the sum of £4 which I have left in the hands of the said Robert White to be equally divided amongst his children.
   I give to Robert Douce of Halstead £9.
   I give to my sister Elizabeth Adams 20 shillings and to my cousin Thomas Shot 20 shillings.
   I give to my nephew John Dirling the son of my brother Thomas Dirling and to his heirs for ever that cottage or tenement at Green Street Green in Chelsfield, now or late in the occupation of Richard Day.
   All residue I give to my loving brother Thomas Dirling and to his heirs, and I appoint him as my Executor.
