the Prerogative Court of Canterbury
John Fuller Waring of Chelsfield dated
22 February 1844
Abstract of the will of John Fuller Waring of Woodlands, Chelsfield Esquire
dated 22 February 1844.
I give to my dear father Thomas Waring all my household goods
together with my gun dogs and other the live and dead stock belonging to me in
and about the house in which I now reside.
I also give to my father £11,000 3% Consolidated Bank Annuities
I give to my uncle Henry Chapman of Darenth Court Lodge as a token
of my affectionate regard and esteem for him and gratitude for past acts of
kindness to myself and other members of my family £100 3% reduced Bank
Annuities.
To my aunt Martha Chapman his wife I give £100 like Annuities for
her sole and separate use.
To my uncle Dr. Richard Waring £100 like Annuities and to Mary
Cecilia his wife £10 for a ring.
To my aunt Mrs. Elizabeth Nash of Devonshire Place, Old Kent Road
widow £100 like Annuities.
To my cousin Thomas Nash her son £100 like Annuities.
To my aunt Mary the wife of Lieutenant Edward Rogier of Ramsgate
£100 like Annuities for her sole and separate use, and to the said Edward
Rogier £10 for a ring.
I give to each of my aunts Maria Waring spinster and Sophia Waring
spinster for their respective lives an annuity of £30 each to be paid to them
half-yearly by my brother William Waring.
I give to the eldest or only son of the said William Waring living
at my decease my gold watch with the gold chain guard and seal belonging
thereto.
As to such of the messuages or tenements, farms, lands etc. and all
other the real estate of which upon the death of my late mother by virtue of the
trusts of the will of my late grandfather John Fuller I become possessed or
entitled to (except the woodland in Farningham Wood sometime since purchased of
the trustees of Philip Pusey Esq.) and also as to my share of the house and
premises called Woodlands in which with my father I am now residing together
with the buildings and lands in Chelsfield, which at the time of her decease
were in the occupation of my late aunt Mary Fuller, I give the same to my father
Thomas Waring for his life, and after his death to my brother William Waring and
his heirs for ever.
As to the rest of my real estate whatsoever, I give it to my
brother William Waring and his heirs for ever.
I also give the residue of my personal estate to my said brother,
and I appoint him and my father as my Executors.

servant to Mr. Waring.
Codicil dated 20 April 1844.
I give to my cousins Emma Williamson, Mary Nash, Edwin Nash,
Mathilda Waring, Mary Cecilia Waring and Walter Waring £10 each .
J.F. Waring witnesses Thos: Waring, Chelsfield Elizabeth Nash,
Devonshire Place, Old Kent Road.
Will and codicil proved 6 June 1844 by Thomas Waring Esq. the father and William
Waring Esq. the son.
