MARRIAGE SETTLEMENT of William Hammond on his first marriage 27 April 1692

Parties – William Hammond of St Albans, Nonington, Kent gentleman (1) Elizabeth Kingsford, only daughter of John Kingsford of London, gentleman (2) John Marsham of The Mote, Maidstone, Barronet, Robert Marsham of Bushy Hall, Hertes, Knight, the said John Kingsford, William Kingsford of London, Merchant and Zachariah Kingsford of Canterbury (3).

Conson – Marriage to be solemnised between William Hammond and Mary Kingsford and of £2000 paid to William Hammond by John Kingsford as part of the Marriage portion of said Mary and of £50 secured to be paid to William Hammond he said William Hammond granted to the Trustees.

Parcels – The Mannor or Lordship of Eastwall alias Easole alias St Albans lying in Nonington, Goodnestone and Wymingswold and all other his land in same parishes.

And the messuage etc. called Chillenden Court Lodge and the land thereto containing by estimation 120 acres lying in parishes of Chillenden, Goodneston, Northborne and Nonington in occupation of Matthew Browning.

And the piece of Woodground containing by estimation 10 acres called Pinners Wood in Nonington in the manor of St Albans in occupation of said William Hammond. 

And 18 acres of Marshland in Ash.

Habendum to Trustees on trusts therein declared.
