Lease 22 May 1722 (8 George I) 

Parties – Anthony Hammond of Nonington, Esquire (lessor) and Richard Read of Goodnestone next Wingham, yeoman (lessee).

Demise of the messuage or tenement called Chillenden Court Lodge with the barnes, stables, 2 dovehouses, etc. and lands arrable, pasture and St ffoyne containing together in the whole by estimation 120 acres scituate, lying and being in the several parishes of Chillinden, Nonington and Goodnestone, Kent and now in the occupation of the said Anthony Hammond. 

Except all timber and timberlike trees and topps and spreadings of the elms.

Term: 11 years from Michaelmas next if said Anthony Hammond shall so long live. Rent: £100 per annum.
