Assignment of a fee farm
rent 15 August 1738 (12 George II)
Parties – Andrew Searle of the Middle Temple,
Esquire (Vendor),
Reverend Edward Lunn of Denton, clerk and John Cason of
Winsborough, gentleman (Trustees for William Hammond, an
infant).
Reciting that William Hawley, late of St Clement Danes,
gentleman, deceased,
was in his lifetime possessed of divers ffee ffarm rents
and castle-Guard rents issuing out of divers mannors,
lands
etc. in counties of Kent, Cambridge, Berkshire and York,
mentioned
in Schedule hereto amounting in all to £49.1s.0½d,
amongst which is
affee ffarm rent of 8s.1¾d. issuing out of the Mannor of
Eastwell alias Essoles alias St Alban’s Court for the
residue of a term of 500 years which commenced on 3rd
September
1694. William Hawley died in 1729 leaving Bridgett Hawley
his widow
and seven children.
And reciting devolution of title.
Agreement for sale of the ffee ffarm rent or Castle.
Guard
rent of 8s.1¾d. for £12.4s.4d. Trustees on behalf of
William
Hammond.
