Bond  27 April  1748 (21 George II)

"Captain Brooke’s Bond to indemnify Captain Turner and Mr Norwood on account of executing Captain Hammond’s Lease".

Bond of Robert Brooke of Margate, merchant in £400 to David Turner of Margate, gentleman and William Norwood of the same, merchant.

Reciting Archbishop’s Lease to David Turner and William Norwood of Parsonage and Rectory of Nonington and Wymingswold of 20 April 1748 for the lives of William Hammond of Canterbury, Esquire,

William Hammond of St Albans, nephew of said William Hammond of Canterbury and Anna Maria Hammond, daughter of said William Hammond the nephew. 

And reciting that said Lease granted to Turner and Norwood according to an Indenture of 4 October 1746 granting said pres. to them in trust for raising £800 lent by said Robert Brooke to said William Hammond of Canterbury.

Condition of Indemnity by Brooke to Turner and Norwood.
