The Learning and Engagement Committee advises Council on promoting the Society’s objects in educational establishments and among young people and to carry out educational programmes adopted by Council.
The previously named Education Committee was formed to advise the Council of the Society on how to promote the Society’s objects in educational establishments and among young people and to carry out programmes for those purposes adopted by Council. In addition, to support educational programmes and activities adopted by the Council and delivered by organisations and individuals across the county. The committee will receive and review applications for the Ian Coulson Annual Bursary and to make recommendations, where appropriate, to Council on their merits.
Free student membership
Membership to the Society is now free for all adult students.

Students can fill in their applications online and join the Society to receive all the benefits of full membership including digital copies of the Kent archaeological journal Archaeologia Cantiana and the KAS Magazine, joining in with activities and digs, access to the library and the right to vote in elections and attend the AGM.
Lees Court Excavation - Bexley YAC with Fred Birkbeck
On Saturday 7th September Bexley Young Archaeologists' Club took part in the KAS excavation at Lees Court.
