‘Significant' remains of a Roman small town will be open for visitors
tomorrow (May 23) for one day only at Newington, Kent ME97JJ.
Visitors will be able to see the foundations of a Romano-Celtic temple, a major highway, several bloomeries and important artefacts found on the site. Internationally renowned Roman pottery
specialist, Malcolm Lyne, will be on site in the afternoon to answer
questions. The excavations are in the middle of a construction site so access
