Carve Their Names With Pride: Female Secret Agents in the Second World War

Our next talk is on Thursday 17th of this month and examines the female agents of the Special Operations Executive who worked undercover in Nazi-occupied France with the Resistance. It considers the formation of the unit, their recruitment, motivations for enlisting, training, infiltration, operational missions, strategies for undertaking their work, incarceration and post-war representations. This illustrated talk utilises interviews conducted by the speaker with a number of agents, as well as archived interviews, official documents, biographies, autobiographies, film and newspaper articles.

We hope you will join us.
