About the Dover Archaeological Group
The Dover Archaeological Group is an active group of amateur enthusiasts. We were founded in December 1971, with the express aim of investigating the archaeology of the Dover District, particularly those sites threatened with destruction.
Since 1996 the Group has been carrying out a long-term archaeological and historical study of the ancient manor of Easole, at Nonington. To date, work here has included building and earthwork surveying, fieldwalking and excavation.
The Group also regularly works on projects organised by the Kent Archaeological Society, in different parts of the County.
New members willing to join in with the Group’s fieldwork are always welcome. E-mail for details: keithparfitt2@gmail.com
