Tour of Brompton Cemetery with CBA London
- Brompton Cemetery Fulham Road London, England, SW10 9UG United Kingdom (map)
Come along with CBA London to discover a Victorian marvel.
Brompton Cemetery opened in 1840: uniquely nationalised in 1852, it is now run by the Royal Parks. Classed as one of the so-called 'Magnificent Seven' Cemeteries of London, its 40 Grade I listed acres (16H) contain over 206,000 burials.
It is also a Conservation Area and a designated site of nature conservation interest and contains the country’s finest architectural funerary complex, with sweeping colonnades and gothic monuments. A major refurbishment of £6.2M, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, was completed in 2018.
