The Craft of the Silversmith
The next speaker for Smarden Local History Society’s series of talks is author and silversmith Mark Lewis who will speak to us about traditional silver techniques, materials and equipment, including assaying and hallmarking practice.

The Battle of Agincourt
The first talk of 2025 by the Smarden Local History Society is on Thursday February 20th and is a dramatised story told by Simon Waterfield about war and remembrance, centred round a fourteenth century archer and his experiences in France at the Battle of Agincourt.
