Lees Court Estate: Story of a Prehistoric Landscape

Step back in time with the Kent Archaeological Society and learn about the two Prehistoric monuments we’ve revealed on the Lees Court Estate, stretching back over 6000 years!

From the 29th March to the 29th June see objects from the society’s excavations, which have been carried out since 2017.

 

Finds out display: A washer from Faversham Brewery, a Neolithic flint borer c.6000 years old, and a Middle Paleolithic Handaxe, c.150,000 - 40,000 years old.

 

Come and see objects from the earliest inhabitants of Britain, c. 150,000 years ago through to the life of the modern estate.
