IOTAS seeking new officers

The Isle of Thanet Archaeological Society (IOTAS) is seeking three new officers: a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, with possible other positions for Minutes Secretary (for daytime meetings) and Events and Publicity Organiser/s with good technical ability to promote our activities on social media.

Here is some relevant information about our current committee which may be of use: we have a Membership Secretary at present,  and (as the current Minutes Secretary is also resigning) an offer from an IOTAS member to take the post of Minutes Secretary  as long as committee meetings are held in the evening.  Daytime meetings suit the current committee, but it may be with new officers this situation may change.  There is one other member who has recently joined the committee, with no defined role, so we have six committee members in total.

Meetings are currently held in person at our premises at Crampton Tower Yard mainly in the morning, but were held via Zoom during the Covid-19 pandemic, and this may suit prospective new committee members who have some distance to travel, subject to agreement with others on the committee.

Applicants who are interested in these roles should please contact IOTAS by email on mail@iotas.org.uk, marked 'For the attention of Margaret Symonds', stating which role/s are of interest and and why.  We will be happy to answer any queries from applicants.
