1. By south transept Small headstone Here lyeth interred ye Body of Elisabeth WOODGATE ye wife of Stephen Woodgate of Brenchely Grocer and ye daughter of John HAWLE of Hawkhurst, Tanner who departed this life ye 25th day of our Lord 1699 aged –6 years leaving ?5 or 3 (more like 3) ? issue

2. Heare lyeth the body of Stephen WOODGATE husband of Mary Woodgate of Brenchley aged 42 yeares interred ye second day of Aprill Ano Dom 1673 leaving issue 2 Sons and 2 Daughters viz Stephen Woodgate, John Woodgate, Mary Woodgate …… under grass………….. (Elizabeth)

3. Thomas WOODGAT died February 3 1781 aged 89 years.
