19. John MOSS, 52 years an inhabitant of Chipsted died 12 February 1805 aged 76 years. Mercy his wife died 26 March 1806 aged 80 years. Thomas Moss, son of the above, late of Ludgate Street, London died 18 March 1823 in his 69th year.

20. Thomas WELLS died 22 February 1808 aged 75 years. Elizabeth his wife died 13 January 1820 aged 80 years.

21. John WEBB died 17 March 1843 aged 37 years. Sarah his wife died 22 April 1859 aged 47 years.

22. Abraham KING died 17 November 1841 aged 69 years. Erected by his widow and 7 surviving children in grateful remembrance of his strict integrity. In October last he received a premium of three pounds from a society as a reward for long servitude and good character. He lived 45 years in the service of Mr TONGE of Morants Court. Also Elizabeth his wife died 29 June 1850 aged 79 years.

23. William, husband of Maria EASTWOOD died 16 April 1870 aged 45 years. Also Ellen Maria Eastwood, daughter of the above died 24 December 1863 aged 13 months.

31. John William HODGE died 4 May 1884 aged 33 years.

32. Edmund LEPHARD died 28 March 1860 in his 82nd year. For many years in the service of Frederick PERKINS Esq. of Chipstead Place. Hannah Lephard his wife died 11 October 1864 aged 76 years.

33. Sarah NOON died 20 July 1860 aged 70 years. For many years a faithful servant in the family of Frederick PERKINS Esq. of Chipstead Place, by whom this stone is erected.

34. John WHITE died 6 September 1839 aged 27 years. A faithful and trustworthy servant and fulfilled for 8 years duties of his situation with zeal and honesty in the family, by whom this tablet is erected.

35. Jemima DRAPER died 6 November 1857 in her 68th year. Erected by Frederick PERKINS of Chipstead Place, Esq. to whom she had been a faithful servant for 28 years.

36. Hall HARRIS died 27 January 1833 aged 47 years 10 months. A devoted husband and father. Erected by the family to whom for 18 years he was an honest, sober and faithful servant.

37. Thomas WARNER died 29 July 1844 aged 43 years. For 17 years servant to the Rev. John AUSTEN, Rector of this parish, who placed this.

38. Cross. Charlotte TAYLOR died 13 May 1867 aged 63 years. 25 years a valued servant of Rev. W.C. F. WEBBER.

39. Susan, wife of Charles SWINDELL died 29 July 1862 aged 42 years. Nearby William and Sophia COWARD of this parish, father and mother of the above Susan Swindell.

46. Moulton WARREN born 26 May 1828 died 4 July 1905. Many years head keeper on the Chevening Estate and for 70 years a faithful servant and friend of four Earls Stanhope. Erected in affectionate remembrance by the Stanhope family.

87. Jane SCARFF, in acknowledgement of whose service of 12 years the Earl and Countess Stanhope erect this stone. She died 2 April 1776 aged 55 years.

90. John DURRANT died July 4 1746 aged 52 years.

91. Frederick KING of Crayford, Kent died 27 February 1865 aged 36 years. Jennet, youngest daughter of John and Sarah BUXTON, relict of the above and the beloved wife of Alexander SCENLING, died at Edmonton 18 June 1877 aged 48 years.

92. William, son of William and Harriot GU././(?) and grandson of James and Elizabeth KING of this parish died 2 December 1831 aged 6 years.

93. In memory of the many virtues and faithful service of Mr George FENDER, nearly 40 years gardener at Chevening who died 24 January 1837 in his 87th year. Erected by Philip Henry, Earl Stanhope.

94. Sarah Catharine HE(I)NRICH who was born on 11 July 1840 and died 10 November in the same year. This tablet is erected by her parents, Anton HEINRICH and his wife.

95. Mr Anton HEINRICH, a native of Germany and during almost 40 years faithful servant of Earl Stanhope by whom he was highly esteemed and whom he survived only 4 months, died 2 July 1855 aged 63 years. Also Mehetabell, widow of the above died 29 March 1883 aged 82 years.

96. Ann, wife of William SWANSBOROUGH of Tunbridge, Kent died 21 December 1847 aged 59 years. William Swansborough died 25 June 1853 aged 62 years.

97. Elizabeth, wife of William SWANSBOROUGH of Chipstead died 1 March 1842 aged 85 years. William Swansborough died 10 October 1843 aged 86 years. Elizabeth Ann Swansborough, granddaughter of the above, born 13 October 1817 died 8 June 1818.

98. Lucy, wife of Nicholas SWANSBOROUGH senior died 7 April 1745 aged 52 years. Near lies Martha, daughter of Nicholas and Lucy Swansborough, who died 11 May 1725 aged 4 years. Nicholas Swansborough died 23 February 1750 aged 63 years. Also Mary, wife of Nicholas Swansborough, junior, died 18 February 1754 aged 24 years.

Priscilla died 7 March 1720 aged 5 years. Also Mary Harman, wife of Richard Harman died December 30 1712 aged 43 years.

118. Near this place lyeth the body of Thomas WAKER and Mary his wife. Thomas Waker dyed August 17 1679 and Mary his wife died some time before him. Also Mary Waker, one of the daughters of the said Thomas Waker and Mary his wife. She died May ye 20 1725 aged fifty three years.

119. Richard WAKER died 12 August 1734 aged 63 years. Mary his daughter aged 2 months. Left issue one daughter – Mary.

120. Here lyeth Elias and Joseph, the sons of Elias and Hanna LOCK, who died in their infancy. Elias died 12 September 1702. Joseph died Aprill 17 1706.

121. Nicholas WAKER of Otford died May 17 1774 aged 84 years.

122. Thomas RICHARDSON of this parish, son of John and Sarah Richardson of Shoreham in this county, died 15 August 1759 in his 39th year.

166. Joseph WEARENEAR of Chevening, for upwards of 40 years faithful servant in Lord Stanhope’s family, born 16 July 1822 died 21 June 1880. Also Ann Wearenear his wife died 14 April 1895 aged 75 years. Erected as a token of affectionate remembrance by Arthur, Earl Stanhope.

196. Thomas Faulkner MIDDLETON, lost in HMS Captain 7 September 1870 aged 21 years. A kind brother. Also Henry Harding Middleton, lost during a gale from HMS Repluse in the Pacific 10 February 1876 aged 24 years.

197. Henry Harding MIDDLETON died 28 June 1866 aged 56 years. Elizabeth his wife died at Chipstead 18 June 1897 in her 78th year.
