Coins from Lympne
Written By Andy Ward
We had a very productive visit from Dr Sam Moorhead, former National Finds Advisor for Iron Age and Roman Coins at the The Portable Antiquities Scheme and David Holman to look over the coins from three seasons of excavations at Lympne.
The project, undertaken by the Studying History & Archaeology in Lympne group with assistance from the KAS has uncovered fascinating #archaeology. The coins, according to Sam, are extremely unusual for Britain and are shaping up to change our understanding of the area.
Stay tuned for more information in due course!
