The latest in the series on online talks hosted by the KAS, featuring KAS Curator Andy Ward discussing the Anglo-Saxon Ozengell Collection.

The Kent Archaeological Society purchased over 1700 items from the Anglo-Saxon collection in December 2022 when they were put up for auction at Rosebery’s, London.

KAS curator Andy Ward has been working on cataloguing, curating, and researching this regionally significant cemetery collection. This zoom talk will demonstrate how the collection was initially discovered, its contents and how the society became involved in its preservation. The process of researching this collection has been a fascinating one and Andy will showcase some of the wonderful objects which it is the society’s privilege to be custodians of.
