FRANK C. ELLISTON-ERWOOD, F.S.A.
Frank C. Elliston-Erwood, F.S.A., Honorary Consultant Archivist
of Hythe Corporation and doyen of Kent arohreologists (a member of
our Society since 1908), died in the Brook Hospital, Woolwich, on the
7th November, 1968, at the age of eighty-five. He was cremated at
Faloonwood Crematorium on the 13th November. A fuller obituary
will be published in the next volume of Archreologia Oantiana.

W. S. Penn, B.Sc., A.I.R.I., for many years the excavator of the
Romano-British settlement at Springhead, died suddenly on 12th
November, 1968. A fuller obituary notice will appear lll the next
