The Isle of Thanet Archaeological Society

The Isle of Thanet Archaeological Society would like to thank the KAS for the grant that has enabled them to buy a new computer for the use of their newly formed Young Archaeologists Club. The Society had run a youth section for many years from the mid-1980s and has always encouraged the active involvement of children and teenagers in its activities. Unfortunately, the club folded a couple of years ago, but has recently restarted with a new leader. It will be affiliated to the national YAC and its leaders vetted. Meetings will be once a month on Saturday mornings at the Society's headquarters in Broadstairs. All 9-16 year olds are welcome, as are older people who would like to help!
