Jason Mazzocchi

I hold a MA in Communications, Culture and Society from Goldsmiths, University of London, an interdisciplinary degree combining Sociology, English and Media and my MA thesis focussed on discourse, transgression and cultural practice. I have had published several articles on sociology and the media, including a highly successful book publication OCR Media Studies: Evolving Media. After a career in education as a faculty lead, school governor and national examiner I became fascinated by the history of the ancient county of Kent. I am currently a PhD student at Canterbury Christ Church University with a focus on Faversham and the Cinque Ports in Early Modern Kent. I am also involved with the multidisciplinary Lossenham project. This brings together professionals and volunteers to undertake archaeological and documentary history research and I manage the database for the wills group. I am currently editor of Archaeologia Cantina.
