Names in the churchyard
1. Sheepwash 1849, 1885, 1842, 1843, Wraight 1880 1882, Gibbs 1859 etc., Ward 1848, 1849, 1875 etc. etc., Parr, Matson 1882, 1885, 1889? Railed tomb covered in moss? Munter 1857, Lewis 1859, Wood 1878, Ellis 1827, 1866, Chambon 1868 – 1878, Settatree 1887 etc., Trice 1817 1846, Taylor 1826, 1830, 1833, 1856, Stephenson 1882, Burton 1866. "The family vault of James Kensall LAMBERT Esq". There are also two ….. stones, one of them much sunk, unable to decipher them owing to fierce NE wind perhaps "Carter".

2. HS sculls above (near the SE priests door) Here lieth the body of Mary wife of Thomas BARMAN who died March 18th 1758 aged 50 years and left issue one daughter Martha.

3. HS (West side of churchyard) To the memory of Elizabeth wife of Thomas GARDNER of the parish of Whitstable who died the 7th of August 1800 aged 39 years (4 lines follow).
