In The Chancell.
1. On a Flat Stone. Here lies interred the Body of Thomas HARRISON, late of the Ffrith, in this Parish. He departed this Life the 18th of October 1707 aged 63 Years. Beneath this Stone, at Rest, the Bodys sleep; The Souls being fled to God, who safely keeps The Spirits of the Just, to the last Day, When Christ shall, from ye Clouds, be heard to say, Arise, Ye sleeping Dust, and come away. At which, the Souls of all to Judgment come; Then, Reader, Thou and I shall know our doom, From Christ our Judge; Whose Sentence, then, shall be, Eternal Bliss, or endless Misery. This Vault belongs to Thomas Harrison of The Frith. Here lyeth Thomas Harrison; he died Jan. 13 1744/5 aged 57.

2. This Church consists only of the Chancell and Body. In a small wooden Steeple, at the West End, hangs one small Bell, whose Inscription, if any, I cd. not get at, for want of a Ladder.

3. In The Church Yard, is an Altar Tomb for HARRISON, without Date; and Headstones in Memory of EASTES, GRUGON, PRESCOT, ROGERS and ROUST.

4. This Church was dedicated to St. Martin. It is only reckon’d as a Chapell. The Person who officiates there is the Revd. Mr RATTAREE

. (Curate – also Inct. of River).

5. Some Armour and many Human Bones wer found in digging a Ditch on Poison Downe in 1760.
