Eastry Tithe award schedule

We the undersigned Tithe Commissioners for England and Wales by virtue of the power to that effect given to us by the Act for Commutation of Tithes in England and Wales Do hereby assign the Parish of Eastry in the county of Kent to be a District within which the Extraordinary Rent charge in lieu of Tithes upon Hop Grounds shall be after the rate of Twelve shillings for every Imperial acre to be paid according to the provisions of the said Act. In Testimony whereof We have hereunto set two Hands and caused our Official Seal to be affixed this thirtieth day of December in this year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and fortyone.

Apportionment of the Rent Charge in Lieu of Tithes in the Parish of Eastry in the County of Kent

Whereas an Agreement for the COMMUTATION of TITHES in the Parish— of Eastry— County of Kent— was on the Twelfth day of October In the Year One thousand Eight hundred and thirty nine, confirmed by the Tithe Commission for England and Wales, of which the Agreement, with the Schedule thereunto annexed, the following is a Copy: -
Articles of Agreement for the commutation of the tithes of the parish of Eastry in the County of Kent pursuant, to the Act for the commutation of tithes in England and Wales made and executed at a parochial meeting of the Landowners and Tithe owners within the limits of the said parish duly called and holden according to the provisions of the said act and adjourned and holden by adjournment in the said parish of Eastry on the First day of April one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine By and between the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Christ Canterbury Impropriate Rectors of the said parish of Eastry and Mary Pilkington their Lessee of the said Impropriate Rectory under a lease dated the Ninth Day of December in the 52nd year of the Reign of His late Majesty King George the Third for the term of the natural lives of the Honorable Henry Lord Willoughby de Brone and of the Honorable Henry Legge fourth son of the late Right Honorable William Earl of Dartmouth and of Henry Clive Esquire and for the life of the longest liver of them in which a rent of less than two thirds of the clear yearly value of the premises comprised therein was reserved and by virtue of divers mesne assignments of the said lease ( and which said Dean and Chapter as such Impropriate Rectors and Mary Pilkington their lessee as aforesaid are entitled unto and jointly owners of the tithes of Corn and Grain of the said parish within the meaning of the said act) and the Reverend George Randolph Clerk Vicar of the said parish and which George Randolph as such Vicar is entitled unto and owner of all the tithes of the said parish (except the tithes of Corn and Grain) of the one part and the several Bodies Politic and Landowners or substitutes according to the provisions of the said act for Landowners within the said parish by whom or by whose agents duly authorized in that behalf this agreement , is executed and the Interest of which Landowners in the lands of the said parish is not less than two thirds of the lands of said parish subject to tithes of the other part

The Glebe Lands of the Impropriate Rectory and of the Vicarage respectively of the said parish are by Grant
Prescription or usage absolutely exempt from the payment of all tithes as well as great and small
