West end of yard
1. George BROWN of this Parish died 29 January 1869 aged 82. Leaving issue 1 son and 6 daughters by Naomi his wife who died February 12 1876 aged 81.

2. 4 little stones west of above Oldham Thomas child of Reverend P ROLFE died 17 February 1849 aged 9 months. Willie E J child of Reverend P Rolfe died 26 October 1858 aged 5 years. Emily L child of Reverend P Rolfe died November 5 1858 aged 2 years. Lydia Grace child of Reverend P Rolfe died 9 December 1861 aged 13 or 11 months.

3. Small stone next to BROWN’s Naomi daughter of Henry and Maria KINGSNORTH of High Halden died May 19 1871 aged 2 years and 7 months.

4. James SMITH died 1881. Sam WOODGATE died 1868 aged 67. Harriet WOODGATE died 1868. See other notes

22. Robert MOON who died 8 June 1717 aged ?53 years. Buried 8 July in woolen. He married ye widdow BANKS who ?erected this. Here also lieth the body of Margaret wife of John Banks late wife of Robert Moon she died August the ---- ? and in --------- ?17-2 Buried 31 August 1723 Margaret Moon widow

24. Buried 21 July 1737 Elizabeth BROWN of Woodchurch Elizabeth widow of Robert BROWNE who died July ?4 1737 aged 38? Left issue two sons and 2 daughters viz William, John, Elizabeth and Susan. Robert Browne died 10 April ?1779 aged 68 years. Robert Brown buried 22 April 1770.

Old Mrs (Mary Ann) WOODGATE died this year widow of George WOODGATE (1919) and is buried in churchyard near the other WOODGATEs - Her daughter survives and lives at Little Criol Farm in succession to her.

   This stone is erected by Voluntary Contribution In Affectionate Remembrance of James LEE who departed this life in the full assurance of Faith February 15th 1865. In the 73rd year of his age Blessed are the dead which die in ????? They die in Jesus and are blest How calm their slumbers are From sufferings and from woes released And freed from every snare. Also Sarah Ann his wife who died January 21st 1869 aged 71 years. Born 1793.

   Old WATSON of Shadoxhurst says that Alfred MARTIN was a son of Sarah Ann Martin by a man named VIALL of a farm near Bromley Green. She afterwards married a WOODCOCK and after his death James (Jimmy) LEE a local Weslyan Preacher and is buried with him in Shadoxhurst churchyard. Lee’s fist wife was a RUMMERY of Ham Street. 18 July 1919 Leland Duncan
